Though there isn't much to say about this image, i will say that it sets off a form of calmness. Early mornings do tend to do that to people. Which gives this image a peaceful vibe to it. Almost like i were there in person. I like how the water droplets are still on the flowers and leaves. As if it were saying that the day has just begun. Though i like looking at things like this because it allows the viewer to describe the scene without it having a prepared background. The sky gives it more of a sleepy look to it. Other then that it's nice.

Ooh! I like you emphasized the flowers by blurring the background! Cool! I wonder how you managed to do that. I'm no photographer. I'm just an artist who likes to draw anime and still life. =_='

Here is a list of things you can improve on:

- At the bottom corner on the left, it's a bit too dark there which interferes with the beautiful colors of the flowers and leaves.

- It's also its bit blurry on the bottom left with have some flowers there.

- Maybe to make the emphasis a bit greater on the flowers. Maybe put it toward the center of the photo since we as humans naturally look at the center or the upper part of the photograph rather at the bottom.

Hope this helps! ^_^

Elegant! That's what I first thought when I saw this <3 From the sky to the mountain view and flowers draped with dew(?), this just pure elegance. I can't praise you enough for showing us this beauty you've captured!

Hullo, I'm with ProjectComment.

First of all, I must compliment you on this picture. I like the execution, the focus and the light especially. The soft, almost dark light gives off a mythical, magical atmosphere, and the fact that two of the four flowers reach for the sunlight makes the photo look like something that should go with a poem. I like how every dew drop/rain drop is clearly visible, and that the background is blurry. Like this, you can tell what is important for this picture without losing the soft touch of the mountainside. You were lucky with the clouds, as their almost straight lines make a great contrast to the soft flowers. Maybe the colours in the foreground are a tiny bit too pale, but other than that, I can't find anything much to complain about. I like how the flowers are outlined with light, and how you can see every hair on their stalks. Sadly, the one flower actually facing the viewer is out of focus, I would've loved to see that one more clearly. The one that faces the sky is perfect. All in all, I like how this picture was taken, it seems natural and soft all at once. Keep up the good work!

hej,
thanks for the feedback :)
getting the focus right with a compact camera can be quite troublesome, as you dont have much influence there. about the colours, guess thats to be expected, considering i took that shot quarter past midnight ;) and i dont edit my pictures.

cheers, yannick

had to work late, as it was midsummers eve, so i took a late hike up the mountain. when i started at around 10pm, the clouds were hanging really low, so most of the way up i was walking in the clouds. close to midnight i got to the peak and above the clouds, which looked amazing. soon after most of the clouds disappeared and i could take this beautiful shot :)

It is an amazing picture! You should be glad that you had to work late, or else you might have never taken it.

Hey there! Thank you for submitting to :iconphotographyguide: for feedback!

I like the view and the way you got the sky exposed!
In my mind the Edelweiss flowers are a bit too dark. And i have an advise for you which does not include editing ;)
If you want your background and sky still exposed properly but also the firs plan not to be dark, you need an additional light only on the flowers. For example you can use some reflective white or silver flat thing. Maybe it also could be a good idea to buy some small cheap reflector to have it with you on the way. If it still won't catch and dissolve enough of light to make the first plan good exposed, i would try to use a torch in the phone as an additional lighting. Maybe you can even use it straight at the flowers without reflecting it. Might work pretty well :torchlight:

Btw, i like the colours here a lot and the different textures like the water drops are very cute and bring freshness into the picture :aww:

I hope this helps, and if you have questions, please ask!

Yeah thanks for your advice. As I took the picture a few minutes past midnight, I guess it could be acceptable that the flowers are pretty dark. My phone doesn't really have a torch btw, so I would have to use a white screen.

I guessed it should have been pretty dark already but would never guess it was a midnight!
But if you go to the mountains so late i guess you have some means of light with you ;)
